Members of the diplomatic community can post announcements on Diploportal that can be picked up
by users with an RSS reader or an account with Google Reader or another service.
How to Build Your Mission's Announcements Page
- Copy the following template code in bold: {{Subst:AnnouncementsPage}}
- Go to your mission page and click on the Mission Announcements Page (the third item under your flag).
- Paste the {{Subst:AnnouncementsPage}} code into your Mission Announcements Page
- Save the change, then reopen edit to add your announcement.
- If you don't see the changes right away, click HERE to refresh the page.
- Now, every time you post on your page, or make a change or correction
it will be sent immediately to subscribers to Diploportal's RSS feed.
- Each Diploportal RSS feed sends subscribers a link to the Diploportal page.
They just have to click on the link to view your new announcement.
